And Another Thing!

So, in addition to not being able to load photos once I've started editing my posts, here's another question:

Why do I have such trouble controlling all the space before or after photos? Preview doesn't really get it...it looks ok in the preview, but when I post I have all this dead air I don't want.

I must be a total dummy...sorry, folks! I know it's annoying to read posts that look like mine!

Dianne, your quilts are great! I also started quilting in 1999, made a lap quilt for my dear Dad, and he died about a year later at age 86. I think my favorite of what I saw in your blog is the bookshelf with pictures. I have always wanted to incorporate photos into a setting like that rather than just have blobs of pictures. Haven't ever printed any photos so far. Moving to Australia! What an adventure! I have a friend who used to live in Bega, NSW... anywhere near Exeter? She moved, however, and I've lost track of where she went. Have a great time down under! It'll be interesting to hear about fabric shops there.

Thanks, Carol! Doing the photos as pictures in a frame was fun, and my FIL really loved them.

Bega is quite a way south of Exeter in beautiful country...lots of rolling green hills and cows and sheep.

There are lots of fabric shops in the Southern Highlands, which is the area where we'll be living. However, fabric in Australia is VERY expensive, so I'll probably be doing a lot of on-line ordering. In fact, I've already contacted eQuilter.com, and they've said they ship there regularly, and I think shipping is only about $7.50 for a pretty large package!

I always center my photos. That way you will only get text above or below. I load up all my photos first - in reverse order of how I want them to appear in the blog - and then SAVE AS DRAFT. I accidentally delete pics too, tho I've never had a problem reloading them. (They just appear way at the top of the post.)
It takes some practise to figure out, but the effort is well worth it. Don't get frustrated.
